r.250 FPV Quad Plans

The r.250 FPV Quad is a 250mm motor-to-motor, symmetrical H frame quadrotor with a suggested propeller size of 5-6 inches.  The plates are ideally milled from 1.5mm fibreglass or carbon fibre, while the arms are intended to be milled from 3mm fibreglass or carbon fibre. Builders can use short arms, limiting them to 5 inch propellers or the longer arms, allowing 5-6 inch propellers.

The frame has enough room to accommodate full-sized FPV equipment and incorporates a vibration dampening solution for compact cameras like the Mobius. Motor mounting patterns support popular mini motors on the market at the moment (MN1806, x2204, RCX1804 and A1510). The design allows the ESCs to be tucked between the lower plates, with room spare for a small power distribution board.

Builders have plenty of options for a flight camera. Plans are included for a board camera mount or you can use any of the free slots to secure a cased security camera.
